Appcrash with BLOBs

Worked fine until I added some columns with BLOB datatype. Since then its just crashing. Please fix it. Edit: Actually opening database with sqlite via commandline reported a broken DB file. A message from the app about this issue would be a important feature...

Could have been great

The graphical interface is quite good, one of the best I have seen. However this app is not really helpful for developers since it does not propperly support table views. The program is not capable of doing modifications or changing their schema. Being able to modify table views would have made worth paying the current price. It is also annoying that the screenshots show table views, which might deceive buyers making them think its a fully supported feature.

Base is the first Pro-grade sqlite3 GUI

Base is the first truely high quality sqlite GUI that nails usability, and its consistent with Mac OS design aesthetics. Its native and good quality. Worth the price if youre doing any real work with sqlite databases. Were using Base to support Conquer Mobile product development. - Aaron (CTO of Conquer Mobile)

Perfect

This is exactly what I needed.

Great Tool

Easily worth the money! You cant go wrong if you need a quick SQLite visualiser.

A good start

It’s a start, it is better in some ways to the Firefox SQLite plugin, but in other, it is is inferior… I find myself toggling between the 2 tools… I find that tabs to be THE feature I crave the most. Bought based on online reviews, and it did live to some of the hype, but not all of it… I look forwards to future versions nonetheless, as it is the best sqlite client out there for Mac.

FTS4 & Unicode61

May be it is a good client, but it can not show my table from SQLite base creted with FTS4 and Unicode61. It makes Base useless in my case.

Useful app but has some bugs

It’s quite useful app for editing SQLite database. But It works incorrectly while altering table. When you add/remove fileds from a table (using Alter command) there is a mess with the rest filed in the view. Please fix this problem!

Good, but...

The App works pretty well, but I found some bugs that really annoy me: - in the editor when you select a field of a table from the autocompletion panel, the table name get deleted - the autocompletion panel doesn’t show you multiword keywords like ORDER BY (just ORDER or BY) - the snippet viewer sometimes doesn’t show you rows correctly (layout problems) In general, I would like to save recently queries related to a particular DB somewhere (maybe using iCloud?) and having the autocompletion panel showing keywords in a much smarter way than the alphabetical order (for instance after you typed a table name you should get just fields of that table not fields of other tables).

Just what I needed for editing my databases

This app makes using SQLite sooo much easier! It displays all the information needed and feels just like a professional Oracle-based interface. Well worth it!

Excellent OS X SQLite Editor

Love this app, awesomeness abounds! Similar to Sequel Pro for mySQL. This SQLITE editor allows you to create, rename or alter tables and fields. Has schema data and sql view along with the speed of using a OS X GUI instead of a fireFox plugin or web based editor. A great value for you development tool suite. Super bonus feature of exporting table rows directly as XML which I find handy when doing mobile development that utilize web services. I highly recommend.

Fantastic alternative to Firefox SQLite plugin!

This is a great app for creating databases for your iOS apps. Its very easy to use. I was able to export data from a Numbers spreadsheet with no problem, and able to use and open existing SQLite databases. Great Job!!

It Just Works

It seems that every other SQLite editor out there is either a) ugly, b) un-usable, or c) both. Thankfully, Base is neither of these. If you need to edit any SQLite files, Base is your app.

Simple usable app for working with Core Data stores

Ive been using this app to manage a database created by Core Data for packaging with my iPhone app. Works great. Very simple to use. Great app.

Base 2.0 is a fantastic SQLite GUI

It is a major improvement over the 1.x version in speed. It nicely handles 1M+ record SQLite files now. It now has more sophisticated features such as column renames and schema changes (these are not natively supported in SQLite, so they have to be explicitly programmed by the developer; its a real timesaver over manually recreating a db). I find that I turn to it for all the SQLite files I handle now. Its a nice, simple, clean, fast SQLite GUI. And the price is awesome! Ill throw in one suggestion; allow NULL fields not only to be marked with user selectable text, but also a user selectable background color; I find that makes it much easier to browse through to see where the nulls are instead of WHERE foo IS NULL queries...

Simple, useful.. but crashy.

This app would be incredibly useful if it didnt crash all the time.

Even better than before!

This is a huge improvement over past versions, with tons of new functionality that is so useful for my iOS work and great for Ruby on Rails development. I have no clue what "John Kennedy" is referring to about it being crashy. The only time its ever crashed on me is when I tried to load a 47GB sqlite DB, and even that was a very unusual use case.

Nice, clean, simple

Simple, intuitive, powerful. I mostly use it to view my data with other people. No problems yet.

Useful, clumsy

Nice for designing a database. Still has bugs such as index setup missing fields unless you uncheck/recheck them. No accelerators that I can find so most of what you do requires a lot of moving from keyboard to mouse and back. Still, it works and you dont need to know sql much.

Not worth the current price

Ive been a databse programmer for years and this product is simply not up to par. I regret spending the $32 to buy this product, as I am seriously considering going with a different app. The import tool has failed every time I used it, yet I am able to import the same file via the command line. Base is truly a waste of money
